Perfect for installing any type of sewn-in extensions! Weaving needles are commonly used for sewing wefts onto braided weaves, wig-building, sewing microrings/linkies onto tracks, and more. For better scalp protection, weaving needles have softer, duller tips than regular sewing needles. They also have a fairly large eye that can easily accommodate weaving thread.
Weaving needles are available in the following shapes:
- C: curved, shown on the left in the first photo.
- I: straight, shown in the middle in the first photo.
- J: hook-shaped, shown on the right in the first photo.
The C-shaped needles come in three different sizes/curve shapes. In the second photo, the regular C needle is on the left, Jumbo C is in the middle, and Big C is on the right. Measurements for all three are as follows:
- C: From top to bottom: 2 inches (5 cm). From end to end, including the curve: 2.5 inches (6.35 cm).
- Jumbo C: From top to bottom: 3 inches (7.62 cm). From end to end, including the curve: 3.5 inches (8.89 cm).
- Big C: From top to bottom: 2.25 inches (5.72 cm). From end to end, including the curve: 3 inches (7.62 cm).
And measurements for the I and J needles are as follows:
- I: From top to bottom: 2 inches (5 cm).
- J: From top to bottom: 2.25 inches (5.72 cm). From end to end, including the curve: 2.5 inches (6.35 cm).
