Shipping & Returns


Due to COVID-19, USPS is currently experiencing delivery delays. Please note that the delivery estimates on our website are estimates only and are not guaranteed; your package may arrive later than the estimate. If you are having your hair done by a stylist, we recommend waiting until you receive your delivery before scheduling your appointment.

Services & Estimates: Orders placed and paid for by 8:00 AM PST Monday through Friday usually ship out the same business day. Orders placed after 8:00 AM PST are usually shipped the following business day.

Business days are Monday through Friday and do not include weekends or holidays.

Orders placed while we are closed over the weekend ship out on the following Monday.

After that, delivery times depend on where you're located and which shipping method you choose. The times listed below for domestic First Class, Priority Mail, Priority Mail Flat Rate, Free Shipping, and all of the international options are estimates and are not guaranteed; sometimes the mail is slower during times of high volume like holidays, delayed due to bad weather (especially during winter), and sometimes international packages are delayed due to customs.

Priority Mail Express is a guaranteed service for shipments delivered in the United States. The guaranteed delivery date is the one that is displayed in the shopping cart during checkout and on your receipt, not the one on the USPS website. A signature is required for delivery of all Priority Mail Express shipments. 

"Priority Mail" and "Priority Mail Flat Rate" are the same service, just different prices. If both options come up for your order, it's best to go with whichever one costs less :)

We cannot guarantee overnight delivery, and we do not ship via DHL, FedEx, or UPS. The only available shipping options are the ones listed above.


Shipping Costs: Orders of $75.00 or more ship for free anywhere in the US. If you choose the free shipping option during checkout, your order will be shipped by whatever USPS shipping method (or combination of shipping methods) is most economical.

For all other orders, shipping costs vary depending on the size and weight of your order, where it's being shipped to, and which shipping method you choose. You can look up shipping quotes by adding items to the shopping cart and clicking on the "add info" link to enter your city, state, country, and postal code.

Signature Confirmation: Signature Confirmation is available for an additional $3.00 for any orders shipped to addresses in the United States. Signature Confirmation means that your mail carrier will need to get a signature from someone at your address in order to deliver the package. If no one is available, the package will usually be held at the post office for pick-up.

We also sometimes add signature confirmation to high value packages. If you are placing a large order, a signature will most likely be required for delivery.

Fees & Import Duties: Please be aware that orders shipped outside the United States may be subject to taxes, duties, brokerage fees, or other charges related to importing goods from the United States. We are unable to add these fees to your order during checkout because regulations change frequently, and because fees are determined when imported goods enter the destination country. We strongly encourage you to contact any relevant customs offices in your country prior to ordering to determine if you will be responsible for any import fees.

UK VAT: For orders shipped to the UK, we are required to collect and remit VAT. During checkout, it will display as "sales tax," and a properly formatted VAT invoice will be included with your shipment.

EU VAT: For orders shipped to EU member countries, we are required to collect and remit VAT on orders under 150€. During checkout, it will display as "sales tax," and a properly formatted VAT invoice will be included with your shipment.

Tracking/Delivery Confirmation

Domestic: All domestic orders are shipped through USPS with free tracking included, except for samples. Color samples are sent via USPS First Class Letter, which usually takes around 7 business days to be delivered and is not trackable.

International: First Class Mail International cannot be tracked in most countries; occasionally packages may be scanned while they are still in the United States, but it varies from shipment to shipment. Priority Mail International and Priority Mail Express International include tracking. Color samples are sent via First Class Letter, which takes around 12 weeks to be delivered and is not trackable.

Returns Policy

General: You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the value of the goods. Please note that shipping is not refundable. You do not need to contact us before sending your return.

Returns: All items must be in their original, unopened packaging and clearly unused in order to be eligible for a return. If an item is returned to us opened, used, or late, we will not accept the return and the item will only be sent back at the customer's expense.

Exchanges: We do not do exchanges. If you would like a different item, please return the original item for a refund, and place a new, separate order for what you'd like to replace it with.

Incorrect/Damaged Items: In cases of incorrect (for example, the wrong color or size) or damaged items, we offer the option of either a replacement with the correct item, store credit, or a refund. Please do not use the product, especially if it's damaged, as we may need you to return it.

Refunds: We issue refunds immediately after we process returns, but it may take anywhere from a few hours to 3-5 business days for the refund to begin showing in your account.

Our return address is a PO box. We check the PO box and process returns once per week, on Saturday mornings.
