DUE TO A MEDICAL EMERGENCY, IKS WILL BE CLOSED UNTIL AUGUST 29TH.
On June 28th, I almost died from blood loss. 4 days in the ICU, 3 surgeries, and 3 blood transfusions later, I am back home and on the way to a full recovery, but it's going to take a long time. Right now, my mobility is very limited and I can't lift anything over 15 lbs, so I'm not physically able to pack orders. The recovery time for the first 3 surgeries I had is about 6-8 weeks.
Here is a tentative timeline for when IKS will be back up and running:
July 2nd
Returns will be processed this week right on schedule. I have a family member picking them up and opening the packages, but I'm personally inspecting them and issuing refunds. Returns will continue to be processed on Friday afternoons/Saturday mornings each week like usual.
July 5th
Customer service hours resume! I most likely will not be available 8-12, but I will log in at least once per day Monday through Friday to respond to messages.
August 29th
IKS will be back open for business at 8 AM PDT on Monday, August 29th.
I have one more surgery coming up on September 6th, but it's a small outpatient procedure that only has a 24 hour recovery time. IKS will be closed on September 6th and 7th for that one.
Thank you for your patience, and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

IKS "Crinkle Twist Braid" marley braid is a kinky, sectioned type of braiding hair that loosely resembles puffy, untwisted dreadlocks. This hair is low heat, hot water set, and is commonly used for styles like marley twists, faux locs, and krinklepuff falls.
Most of our customers use around 4-6 packs of marley braid for twists, 10-12 packs for faux locs (or half that if you're only doing the wrapped outer portion with marley braid), and 3-4 packs for a pair of krinklepuff falls.
We recommend doing an ACV rinse before installing to remove the alkaline lye coating on the fiber.
