September 16th, 2021 Update:
Good news! We are now registered in the European Union, and are once again able to accept orders through our website. VAT will appear at checkout as "sales tax," and we will included a properly formatted VAT invoice with all shipments to the EU.
Beginning July 1st, 2021, international sellers will be required to collect VAT on orders that are shipped to the European Union and are valued below 150€. Countries that are affected by this change are:
In order to register for VAT, we need to appoint someone in an EU member country to be our representative for financial and legal matters. Because of our company's small size and limited resources, that's just not a feasible option right now.
However, small sellers like us can get around that requirement by selling through marketplace facilitators (like Etsy), who collect and remit VAT instead of us.
So for the foreseeable future, if you are located in the EU, we can only sell to you through Etsy rather than here on our website. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
And of course, if the EU ever creates more accessible options for small businesses to meet our VAT obligations ourselves, we will register right away.
Create an Etsy account, or log into your account if you already have one.
Visit our Etsy shop and click on the "Request Custom Order" button. This button will only appear on a regular, desktop computer (not a phone or tablet).
Send us your shipping address and a complete list of all of the products you would like to order.
If it's easier for you, feel free to add items to the cart on our website and send us a screen grab rather than typing it all out. Any way you want to provide the information is fine by us :)
We will set up a custom listing for you with USPS Priority Mail International shipping.
If you would prefer to use USPS Priority Mail Express International shipping, please let us know.
Priority Mail International rates start at $40.00 (approximately 35€) and increase depending on the weight of the package.
Sorry, but cheaper shipping options are not available at this time.
If you'd like to get an approximate idea of shipping costs before contacting us, we recommend looking up rates in our shopping cart for a nearby, non-EU country such as Switzerland. The shipping rates for Switzerland will be similar to most countries in the EU.
When you place your order through the custom listing, Etsy will collect and remit any required VAT, and your order will be shipped out according to the same processing times and policies as orders placed through our website.
If your order is more than 150€, Etsy may opt not to collect and remit VAT on your behalf; in those cases, you will be responsible for VAT when the shipment arrives in your country.
